My Approach
In therapy sessions, I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment, which I believe is a prerequisite for healing. I see the therapeutic relationship as a partnership, as you are the expert of yourself (whether you believe that yet or not)! My role is to facilitate deeper insight and the lessening of suffering or discomfort. From there, we will create an individualized plan of care. I tend to draw from several theories and therapies in my work with clients, but my core foundation is client-centered, which values unconditional positive regard, genuineness, and empathetic understanding. I welcome feedback on the process as we go along, so that we can adjust to best meet your needs.
